We recently received this letter from Carol Fields of Douglas, MA who adopted a Katrina rescue:
Yes, today was a day of reflecting. As I walked my 3 dogs in the rain today I was reminded of Katrina and how I would not have my little dog Lelo if it were not for you, calling me to volunteer at the Pembroke Animal Rescue.
Call me selfish for being so lucky. I sent another "thank you" email, with a picture of Lelo, to the 2 known women, who live in Maryland who took care of Lelo in Monroe Louisiana. Thanks!
Anne Lindsay, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Animal Coalition, sent us this letter from a
volunteer in Louisiana. Help is still needed! (letter 4)
Karen Broadus is our contact in D'Iberville, MS. She has been keeping us up-to-date on the situation following Hurricane Katrina.
