If you have any photos of CMDART in action, please email them to us. Thanks! Click each photo for a larger version.

CMDART members attend the SMART (State of Massachusetts Disaster Animal Response  Team ) drill held recently at Camp Edwards, Otis Air Force Base. A day that started out looking like a hurricane day, worked into wonderful weather. Our team collaborated with groups and individuals  from all over state to practicing sheltering techniques  at the Camp Edwards site.

Checking supplies Checking pet supplies at Camp Edwards after Hurricane Katrina
CMDART shipped nearly 12,000 pounds of goods south to Louisiana and Mississippi, but also provided local supplies when clients and pets came to Massachusetts.
What time is it?! Otis Air Force Base in September following Hurricane Katrina
Members of the team gathered in the early hours of night to prepare for the arrival of clients and their pets from Louisiana. Working under the direction of the State of Mass Animal Response Team and State Agriculture Dept., team members prepared equipment to be able to work in the dark of the night. In the center of photo on the table is a cat washing device.
