CMDART Sponsors
Worcester Regional Medical Reserve Corps
During 2007, the office of
the Department of Public Health, Emergency Preparedness for Region 2
(Central Massachusetts) approached CMDART regarding our programs and
development. They had seen some of our presentations at local town forums
and liked the way the team was progressing. After several meetings and
presentations, we were awarded a Public Health grant that is enabling
CMDART to purchase equipment and provide training to some of the 74
communitees in Central Mass. These trainings include an Introduction to
Animal Disaster Services, Starting a Local Team and Getting Ready for a
Local Response.
If you live in one of the 74 towns in Region 2 (Public Health Region) and
would like to have have CMDART do a presentation to a group of town
folks,please send an email to
president@cmdart.org.
CMDART also participates in local public events to provide public education
about emergency preparedness for you and your pets/animals. Let us know
about an event you have coming up.
The
Worcester Regional Medical Reserve Corps and CMDART will cooperate in
some trainings in 2008. Please click onto this site for more information
about future trainings:

Gemini Dog Training
JoAnn G. recently attended Gemini Dogs Howl-o-Ween Festival. Also attending were members of the Worcester and Middlesex County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Teams, who did a fabulous demo for everyone.
JoAnn presented an overview of CMDART and signed up several new members. View some photos of the day.
Jungle Encounters
A longtime sponsor of CMDART, it's owner, Debi Willoughby, is also an active member of the team. Her support and expertise have been invaluable.
